Best salesman ever!!!

Dan Mann has to be the best salesman ever!!! I went into Suntrup Kia to check out a car that I saw online and that particular car was not available. He listened to what I was looking for and what my personal needs were and never stopped until the situation was resolved and a purchase was made!! He definitely shows that he is interested in what you want and very knowledgeable on all cars at the Suntrup Kia dealership in South County!! Excellent Car and Exceptional People

I have purchased many (too many) cars over the years and dealt with many different dealerships and people. My recent new car purchase from Suntrup Kia in South County was by far the best. I had not dealt with this location before. Years ago, my car, a 10+ year-old Hyundai, broke down on South Lindbergh very close to the Suntrup Nissan dealership. One of the sales staff there went out of his way to help me get the car to the Suntrup Hyundai dealership a few blocks north. The Service staff at the Hyundai dealership worked me into their very busy schedule and repaired my within a few hours, allowing me to return home to St. Charles County that day. I very much appreciated the kind assistance I received from both Suntrup dealerships, and told myself that when the time came to purchase a new car, I would try to deal with the Suntrup group. A few years later, that time came. Based on my usage requirements for a non-SUV station wagon-type of configuration, the models available thru Hyundai and Nissan unfortunately did not meet my needs. The Kia Soul, however, almost exactly met my specifications. I contacted Suntrup Kia South and set up a test-drive appointment with Client Advisor Robyn Jensen for the following business day, as this was during the restrictive business environment brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. When my wife and I arrived, Robyn was still finishing up with another customer, so instead of having me wait she introduced me to Client Advisor Kelly Pfeiffer who was able to handle our appointment immediately. Following our test drive of the very impressive car we were ready to discuss a purchase. Throughout the process, Kelly was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Several times during the negotiations, Robyn went out of her way to check on how things were going. Once an agreement had been reached, Kelly and Robyn worked together as a team to expediate the process of prepping the car for delivery that day pending our meeting with Finance Manager BJ Bruner. The dealership was very busy with multiple customers making deals, so Kelly and Robyn had already forwarded the necessary forms and information to BJ in advance, allowing him to complete all the paperwork in advance of our meeting. He then carefully explained the documents and answered all of our questions, showing a very high level of expertise and responsiveness as well as a very friendly and genuine interest in us. The purchase was completed, and we drove our new car home shortly thereafter. Based on my previous experience with the Suntrup Nissan and Hyundai personnel, we made the trip from St. Charles County in hopes of finding the same level extraordinary personal concern at Suntrup Kia. Robyn, Kelly, and BJ all exceeded our hopes and expectations. Clearly, they all regarded us as more than just customers, and treated us with kindness, efficiency, respect and professionalism that is not often seen anymore. The Suntrup group should be very proud of the way they, and seemingly all associates throughout the organization, relate to people. We appreciate, thank, and recommend Robyn, Kelly and BJ particularly, and Suntrup in general, for all of their kindness, help and service.

Moe really made the car-buying experience significantly better than I could have hoped for. Just purchased a 2020 Kia Soul, my first new car in over 10 years, and of course I was really worried about getting a good price and most importantly the best vehicle that fit me. You could tell Moe was really experienced and passionate about Kia cars and wanted to make sure I got a good value and all the safety features I wanted, without any pressure. Even though we were in a rush due to Memorial Day he and the rest of the sales team did everything they could to accommodate us.

Suntrup Kia does not care about you or anything else.

Suntrup Kia does not care about you, your money, or your business. Let me explain my ordeal: Kelly P. was my salesperson. She was kind and worked hard to find the car I wanted. I am very picky and knew what I wanted. I knew getting what I wanted would take time, so I was patient. I intended to lease a new 2021 Kia Seltos. I had been waiting for these cars to come out for a long time, knowing my lease was coming to its maturity date. These cars were officially released Super Bowl weekend 2020. The very next day, I went to Suntrup and met Kelly. I went in knowing the EXACT car I wanted - a 2021 Seltos SX Turbo, white with black roof, grey interior, push-button entry and start, heated seats and steering wheel, and AWD. I waited for months. The SX Turbo wasn't released until mid-March and it seemed nobody was getting the color I wanted. She kept searching, I kept waiting. Eventually, she found me the EXACT car I wanted. I was so excited to finally get it! Suntrup Kia was supposed to trade another dealer for this car and was supposed to get it on a Wednesday and I was scheduled to pick it up on Friday. On Thursday, Kelly called and told me this car was sold by the other dealer right before they were supposed to get it. Okay...so fool me once, right? This isn't the first time Suntrup Kia has done this to me. When I was attempting to trade my 2015 Optima, I was looking to get a 2017 Sportage. Again, knowing what I wanted, they were going to trade another dealer for the car...three times the trade "fell through". So same story, different day. I went to Lou Fusz Kia and got the car I wanted (they also get one star for horrible customer service). So, long story short... Suntrup knew I was ready to sign for this car. Easily $30,000. But, they could care less about customer service which is a shame because their salespeople seem to be so nice. I guess their ownership and management is where the fallout occurs.

One of the worst dealerships I am ever dealt with and I have bought over a dozen cars from dealerships. First when i went to buy my car November 2018 they sold it to me it didn't have a title for it and then lied to me for the next month about it and just kept blowing me off. Then a little over a year later I trade the vehicle off at Suntrup Hyundai. They filled out the form to cancel my gap insurance and was told that I was going to get a refund. About a month had passed so I called my gap insurance company to find out what the status was and they said it had been canceled for almost a month and that the dealership I bought the car from was going to issue me a refund. So I called Suntrup Kia and spoke with the finance guy and said I was trying to find out the status and that gap insurance company told me that they owed me a refund. The finance guy went off on me and started lecturing me saying that they are not going to issue me a refund it is not their job that the insurance company will do it. I tried explaining to the guy what the insurance company told me but all he was doing was being rude on the phone. The sales staff was very friendly but finance department and the sales manager and finance manager very rude and disrespectful.

Suntrup is great. However, Matt L. was a huge disappointment. I had bought there multiple times in the past but this time I required a co-signer. I got one then he stopped answering my calls, blocked my texts and his office phone went right to voicemail while he was in his office and not on the phone. I saw this because I called from outside. He simply said to come back when I have a co-signer then walked out of the office without turning his head to say see you in a bit, good bye or anything. When he saw me at first he gave me this strange look like do I know you or like I was a leper. I have no idea what his problem was but his personality sucks.

Excellent Car and Exceptional People

I have purchased many (too many) cars over the years and dealt with many different dealerships and people. My recent new car purchase from Suntrup Kia in South County was by far the best. I had not dealt with this location before. Years ago, my car, a 10+ year-old Hyundai, broke down on South Lindbergh very close to the Suntrup Nissan dealership. One of the sales staff there went out of his way to help me get the car to the Suntrup Hyundai dealership a few blocks north. The Service staff at the Hyundai dealership worked me into their very busy schedule and repaired my within a few hours, allowing me to return home to St. Charles County that day. I very much appreciated the kind assistance I received from both Suntrup dealerships, and told myself that when the time came to purchase a new car, I would try to deal with the Suntrup group. A few years later, that time came. Based on my usage requirements for a non-SUV station wagon-type of configuration, the models available thru Hyundai and Nissan unfortunately did not meet my needs. The Kia Soul, however, almost exactly met my specifications. I contacted Suntrup Kia South and set up a test-drive appointment with Client Advisor Robyn Jensen for the following business day, as this was during the restrictive business environment brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. When my wife and I arrived, Robyn was still finishing up with another customer, so instead of having me wait she introduced me to Client Advisor Kelly Pfeiffer who was able to handle our appointment immediately. Following our test drive of the very impressive car we were ready to discuss a purchase. Throughout the process, Kelly was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Several times during the negotiations, Robyn went out of her way to check on how things were going. Once an agreement had been reached, Kelly and Robyn worked together as a team to expediate the process of prepping the car for delivery that day pending our meeting with Finance Manager BJ Bruner. The dealership was very busy with multiple customers making deals, so Kelly and Robyn had already forwarded the necessary forms and information to BJ in advance, allowing him to complete all the paperwork in advance of our meeting. He then carefully explained the documents and answered all of our questions, showing a very high level of expertise and responsiveness as well as a very friendly and genuine interest in us. The purchase was completed, and we drove our new car home shortly thereafter. Based on my previous experience with the Suntrup Nissan and Hyundai personnel, we made the trip from St. Charles County in hopes of finding the same level extraordinary personal concern at Suntrup Kia. Robyn, Kelly, and BJ all exceeded our hopes and expectations. Clearly, they all regarded us as more than just customers, and treated us with kindness, efficiency, respect and professionalism that is not often seen anymore. The Suntrup group should be very proud of the way they, and seemingly all associates throughout the organization, relate to people. We appreciate, thank, and recommend Robyn, Kelly and BJ particularly, and Suntrup in general, for all of their kindness, help and service.

Thirty eight days after purchase and still do not have everything I need to properly license the vehicles I bought.. Uptempo asking for paperwork with loan information I still do not have Need to fix that part to make this a better experience. Your sales team is great but alot of work needed on the backside. I am really on the fence about recommending this dealership but because last experience was good giving the benefit of the doubt that this time it was a fluke.

It was the fifth morning in the month of March in the year 2020 of our good Lord. The ides not ten days nigh. I woke with the sun, as is common in my behaviour. I smashed my java beans, brewed my coffee black and set forth on my quest to conquer the day. As I wandered out to my noble steed, a 2009 Acura TSX I christened "Veruca Salt" after the lovely shade of blue she dons when the sun hits her just right, I noticed things were amiss. Her oil was low. "Oil daddy! I want it now! I don't care how, I want it now!" she screamed at me... "Anything for my lovely little brute" I replied eagerly, fearful of her wrath. Thus, I journeyed to Suntrup Kia through the lands of Mordor to retrieve my Synthetic goodness. Whence I arrived at Mt. DOOM, I expected a host of pushy salesmen and service desk technicians wearing the white hand of Sauraman. Is this what greeted me? Nay, twas but a generous man, a great man. One whom called himself Sir Brian Richter. He diagnosed my problem immediately with a smile upon his countenance. He promised me he would treat Veruca gently, as if she were his own. I knew my girl was in good hands. I retired to the common room where fancy popcorn and 6 hour old coffee awaited me. In my wait, I had an opportunity to gaze upon other steeds... valiant race horses all, but none as elegant or loyal as my blueberry. Twas not but 40 minutes before Lord Richter escorted me to my girl, oiled up and ready to go. A wonderful journey to be sure, and a welcome one. Thank you King Brian, your service was unlike any other I have experienced. I look forward to seeing you again.

Not so great experience this time in the service department

I bought my car here two years ago and had a great experience. I continued to bring my car in for all the routine scheduled service required and had no issues. They were always pleasant, timely and would always return my car washed and ready to go. That was before... I was out of state for a year and came back to St. Louis and figured I would try and continue my relationship with Suntrup Kia South. Now I'm thinking of looking someplace else. I scheduled my 30k maintenance, emission test online. I show up at 7:15am (appointment time was 7:30am) and all goes well, I also let them know that my tire pressure light came on and asked if they could check, of course they will. They will give me a call before they do any repairs if necessary. I get a call at around 9:30am (I'm in a meeting at work so I cannot answer) they left a message, then texted me with a link to a video( how nice it that!) I watch the video and there are 2 nails in my tire and on other tire has some worn area and they recommended they be replaced. I agree and then wait to hear back on when it will be completed. Around 3pm I called and just got sent to the service department voicemail. I left message and then decided to text them too (sine that is how they got a hold of me earlier) i just asked how it was going and when they thought it would be done? They texted back they were just waiting on the tires. I then called back at 5pm and got voicemail, I texted and nothing, I called again at 5:30, 6:00, 6:30and texted and still nothing. After dinner I called at 7 and got the sales department and they said service was closed but transferred be back to the cashier. She was nice and said it was finished and I could pay over the phone and she would leave my keys in the car so I would pick it up. I paid and then left to head over there, got there any my car was ready (but they did not even wash it after having for 12 hours) I looked over the paperwork and then noticed they did not put the emission stick in the window put did give me the report. I went inside and the girl at the front desk said she did not know anything about the stickers and would check with the sales manager. He came back and said he does not think they do stickers any more. I said the form has a ID # and Sticker #number on it. He said I could come back when the service department is open or he would have them call me. Since they did not text or call me back most of the day, I said I would come back in the morning. I went back the next morning and the gentleman at the counter (same guy from day before) said I should have gotten a sticker, I also asked if they still washed the car after service and he said they should have and walked in back. A guy came up and asked for my keys so he could was the car. The service guy came back and was talking to a teck who said he could not give me a sticker that they would have to do the test again and then I would get one. So I was there again for 20 mins while they did this, not one word about being sorry for the mix up or mistake, would I like a water or anything. They just gave me my key and the new form and he then said sorry for any inconvenience and walked off. I was 30 mins late for work so I just left. I will now just go to Firestone to have my work done and tires (would have cost me less too) Very disappointed with the way service has gone downhill. Unfortunately I would no longer send anyone here. R.H.

Clay is a phenomenal service adviser, he keeps you up to date with what the technician is doing to your car. If their is something that needs attention, he comes and explains it to you, let's you know if its something that needs replaced today, or can wait till the next service. I've always had a great experience at Suntrup Kia South, I'm on my 4th Kia, and I take it only to Suntrup. Be sure to see Clay!!

The Ideal Car Buying Experience

If you're looking for a great deal on a great used car, skip all the other dealers and head straight to Suntrup Kia. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Matthew who was great! He found the car we were looking for, took a quick test drive, then we drove it out that night! Not only that, Jarrod in Financing beat my previous rate that I had pre-appoved at my bank! I just bought a car here ( the third car we have purchased here) and as always had a grwat experience. Actually was quite comforting. There is no better service anywhere. They really take good care of there customers. Service department is friendly and very considerate of the people’s time.the sale person i had this time was Chris Irving. Sales and finance were amazing and genuine. I wish I could say the same for the service and management team on my follow up repairs. My car checklist marked off with good wheel alignment. Shortly after leaving the service crew I almost got into an accident. They kept telling me it was hydroplaning and I insisted that they check my wheel alignment. After finding out the wheel alignment was off service's still insisted it was hydroplaning even though this was found and it was not raining outside. I was then told they only check tires to determine if a wheel alignment is good as an estimate. It could of been my life that was gone and they did not seem concerned with how they were servicing me or the car I had bought that was not a week old even. Once again the sales men was awesome and considerate and so was financing but I would not recommend their service department.
